Kerri's book pick takes readers to Death Row

Kerri Miller's book pick this week is "The Execution of Noa P. Singleton," by Elizabeth L. Silver.

"I've never read anything like this," Kerri said. "I usually don't like novels that are set in prisons, I don't know why. But to set a novel on Death Row — that is unusual. And yet this story really holds together."

Kerri said the novel is "very sophisticated," even though Silver is a first-timer. "The point of view in this novel, and the way it moves back and forth with chronology, is just so unique," she said. She promised to discuss the book's structure during Silver's upcoming visit to the show.
