Guilty plea in Minn. classic car fraud case

A man accused of defrauding customers of his classic car restoration business out of $1 million has pleaded guilty in federal court in Minnesota.

Twenty-six-year-old Edwin Verdung, formerly of Chisholm, entered the plea Thursday to one count of wire fraud and one count of money laundering. In a plea agreement, Verdung admitted that from April 2007 to May 2010, he took money from customers, but failed to deliver the vehicles or restoration services he promised.
