St. Paul man dead after shooting

Police in St. Paul say a man is dead and a 19-year-old man is in custody after an early morning confrontation led to a shooting.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired just after 3 a.m. Monday. They arrived to find a man fatally wounded. He died at the scene. Police have not yet identified him.

Police say they later arrested the 19-year-old suspect at the scene of the shooting. They say he surrendered without incident.

Police are not releasing details of what caused the altercation. The suspect is likely to be charged in the next few days.
