Officials ID man killed on farm near Paynesville

Stearns County sheriff's officials have identified a man who was killed in a farm accident in central Minnesota.

Authorities say 69-year-old farm worker John Schoenberg, of Greenwald, was walking on the farm near Paynesville when a large front-end loader drove over him about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The St. Cloud Times reports investigators learned Schoenberg was walking near a silage pit in an area not normally used by pedestrians, and the loader operator was unable to see him. He died at the Paynvesville hospital.
