Minneapolis police confirmed Tuesday night that five girls missing for more than 24 hours have been found safe.
The police said details would be released later.
On Tuesday afternoon, police asked the public to help find the girls, aged 11 to 13. They were believed to have run away after school on Monday.
All five girls attend Seward Montessori School.
Police identified the girls as Isabel Marie Ward, 13; Gabriella Rae Woods, 12; Keneni Mekonen Legese, 11; Malina Gail-Corrine Long Crow, 12, and Alexandra Rubina O'Brien, 12.
Family and friends searched for the girls and canvassed south Minneapolis neighborhoods.
