Boy on bike hit by teen driver, dies

A 13-year-old boy in Isanti County has died after being hit by a 16-year-old driver around 3p Thursday.

Isanti County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Chris Caulk said the boy was riding his bike near the airport in Cambridge Township when he was struck.

Caulk said his agency and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating.

"No arrests made and no tickets made at this time," Caulk said. "That will certainly be reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation."

Caulk said both teens attended Cambridge-Isanti Public Schools.
