North Dakota oil spill reported at hundreds of thousands of gallons
In late September a farmer in Tioga, N.D., reported oil leaking from a pipeline on his land. The spill is now believed to be more than 865,000 gallons. State officials failed to alert the public until more than a week after the spill occurred.
