Student brings replica handgun to Minn. school

Tech High School in St. Cloud was briefly put on lockdown after a student brought a replica handgun to school.

Police were called to the school late Friday morning. During an investigation the replica gun was found in the 15-year-old boy's jacket pocket.

Assistant St. Cloud School Superintendent Diane Moeller says the boy was in a location where no other students would have seen the replica.

The school was on lockdown for about 15 minutes until the boy was arrested. Students could not enter the hallways without special permission, but classes continued.

The boy was taken to Stearns County Jail. Charges are pending.
