St. Paul cops hunt for car in fatal hit and run

St. Paul Police are looking for an SUV they believe is connected to a fatal hit and run Friday night.

Police say 53-year-old Teresa Klotz died at Regions Hospital after apparently being struck as she was stepping away from a car on Randolph Avenue near West 7th Street.

She had gotten out of a car and was talking with a passenger. The passenger told police she heard a thud as she walked toward a home nearby, and turned to see that Klotz had been struck.

Police found her lying in the street.

They also found what they think is the right side mirror cover of the SUV that struck her. They believe it belongs to a 2005 or newer Lexus, possibly an RX300 or similar model. The SUV is thought to be silver.

The accident happened just after 6:30 p.m. Police are asking people to be on the lookout for the vehicle. They're also asking anyone with information on the incident to contact St. Paul Police.
