Suspect arrested after MnDOT worker struck on I-94
The Minnesota State Patrol says it has arrested the driver that struck a MNDOT employee at work on Interstate 94 in north Minneapolis.
The patrol said that the worker, who they didn't name, was on the freeway about 7:30 p.m. Sunday clearing debris near 42nd Avenue N. and was hit by a passing Infiniti I-30.
The road worker suffered serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
The patrol said that the car's driver was arrested and booked for not having a Minnesota drivers license, providing false information to police, no insurance, careless driving and open bottle.
