Measure to require labels on modified foods heads toward defeat

Voters in the state of Washington apparently have rejected a measure that would have required the labeling of foods containing genetically engineered ingredients. Washington would have been the first state to enact such a requirement. What does the proposal's failure mean for pro-labeling efforts in Minnesota?
