Minn. teen dies in crash with power pole

A 16-year-old Minnesota boy has died following an early morning collision with a power pole.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported Monday that the crash took place about 12:20 a.m. Sunday in Eagan.

Police say 16-year-old Max Lowell, of Inver Grove Heights, ran off the road, hit a pole and was thrown from the car.

Dakota Electric spokesman Joe Miller says the accident left about 600 customers without power for several hours.

Eagan police Sgt. Dan Mason says the crash is still under investigation.
