MNsure partners with Cub Foods

(AP) Minnesota's health insurance exchange is teaming up with grocery store chain Cub Foods to spread the word about enrolling in insurance coverage.

Shoppers at Cub's dozens of Minnesota locations will find consumer brochures and fact sheets for MNsure in store pharmacies. The brochures are available in four languages: English, Spanish, Hmong and Somali.

MNsure.org is the consumer portal for comparing and shopping for insurance plans under the new federal health law. The brochures include contact information, plan benefits and cost-saving methods.

MNsure's director of marketing says the outreach through Cub stores is one way the agency can reach Minnesotans in their neighborhoods. She says Cub pharmacies are a natural place to connect with people in need of health care information.

Cub is a subsidiary of Eden Prairie-based grocery retailer SuperValu.
