Folks who spent much of the long holiday weekend watching football on television were rewarded with some very exciting games.

The string of cliff-hangers culminated with the Vikings 23-20 overtime victory over the Chicago Bears yesterday. As an added bonus, Adrian Peterson became the third-quickest player in NFL history to reach 10,000 yards rushing for his career, passing the mark for Minnesota in the fourth quarter.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Howard Sinker, a digital sports editor for the Star Tribune, about the games.
