The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers will be playing in the Texas Bowl in Houston on Dec. 27.  MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Howard Sinker, a digital sports editor for the StarTribune, about why the Gophers are going there, despite much-improved play on the field this season.

In college football, we now know which bowl game the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers will be playing in this year. They are going to the Texas Bowl in Houston where they'll play Syracuse on December 27.
