Suspect arrested in possible homicide in NE Minn.
St. Louis County authorities are investigating the death of a man found injured and lying on a road Monday afternoon.
Babbitt paramedics and police were called to Astor Road in Babbitt.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as Paul John Bulen, 55, of Mahtomedi. He was transported to Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Bulen's death is being investigated as a possible homicide, according to a statement from the sheriff's department. A 24-year-old native of Babbitt has been arrested and is being held in St. Louis County Jail in Virginia, Minn. in connection with the incident.
The St. Louis County Medical Examiner's office will conduct an autopsy on Tuesday.
