President Obama told fellow Democrats last week at a retreat that immigration reform should be a top priority for Congress.

That's not going to happen, according to journalist Maria Hinojosa, who's covered immigration for more than 25 years.

The host and executive producer of Latino USA spoke recently at the Education Equity in Action conference at the University of Minnesota. The title of her address: "Demographic Shift and its Impact on US Education Policy."

Hinojosa speaks with The Daily Circuit's Tom Weber.
