Lawmakers return to the state capitol Tuesday to start the 2014 legislative session. It will be a relatively short session. Even numbered years are traditionally focused on borrowing money for building projects around the state.

DFL Gov. Mark Dayton has asked legislative leaders to conduct what he calls an "unsession" -- focused on repealing outdated or cumbersome laws and regulations. He spoke with MPR's Cathy Wurzer about the "un-session," taxes, marijuana and other issues that are sure to come before lawmakers this year.
