Charges filed in north Mpls. murder
The Hennepin County Attorney's Office today charged a Minneapolis man with aiding and abetting the murder of a man in north Minneapolis last week.
According to the complaint, 37-year-old Demiteras Al Cooper and another man were involved in the Feb. 20 shooting death of 32-year-old Johnathon Joseph Harris at a home on Hillside Avenue.
The complaint states the man Cooper was with was a relative. Police say Cooper's relative fired the fatal shots. They say Harris was not armed. Cooper's relative is not in custody and a warrant has been issued for the man's arrest.
Cooper is in custody on a $1.2 million bond.
