House and Senate differ on how quickly to change state taxes

DFL Gov. Mark Dayton's Friday deadline for a tax cut bill is fast approaching, and lawmakers are not expected to meet it.

The House passed its tax bill last week. But Senate leaders are taking a much slower approach on taxes and will instead spend time this week on their priority issue of boosting the state budget reserve. Big differences also remain between the House and Senate on a minimum wage bill.
