Today's music is Junior Brown's "Hang Up and Drive," a tune from his latest release. He'll be performing tonight at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis. As you'll hear, Brown puts a modern spin on country music with his often funny lyrics and distinctive voice. But what sets him apart is the instrument that he plays. It's a double-necked guitar that combines a regular six-string with a steel guitar. That way he can play both instruments during the same song. He invented the instrument himself and he calls it the guit-steel. It allows him to show off just how good a guitar picker he is.
