Wisconsin students celebrate Badgers' NCAA victory

Thousands of students rushed onto State Street in Madison to celebrate Wisconsin's 64-63 overtime victory over Arizona in the NCAA basketball tournament, a win that sends the Badgers to the Final Four.

Capt. Brian Ackert tells WISC-TV there were no arrests or injuries, and there doesn't appear to be any property damage. But he says a construction company will have to check its scaffolding over a sidewalk after fans climbed up it in celebration.

Within sight of the state Capitol, students climbed trees and hung from windows. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports about 30 people hopped on top of a bus shelter, and one young man took a dive into the waiting arms of the crowd.

More than a dozen members of the Wisconsin Marching Band played to the crowd.
