Minnesota officials say it's time to expand the state's bison population to a second state park.

There's already a herd in Blue Mounds State Park in Luverne. Minneopa State Park, five miles west of Mankato, is next on the DNR's list.

Alexander Watson, a regional naturalist in the DNR's New Ulm office, joins The Daily Circuit to discuss the plan.

If you are interested in providing comments on the plan, the DNR will hold an open house at the Blue Earth County Public Library, 100 E. Main St., Mankato, on Tuesday, April 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
