Three shot, wounded overnight in south Minneapolis

Three people were injured in an overnight shooting in south Minneapolis.

Officers responded just after 1 a.m. to reports of shots fired near Powderhorn Park. They found three people with gunshot wounds - two non-life threatening, one more serious but still believed to be non-life threatening, Minneapolis Police Department public information Officer John Elder said.

The three were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Officers are investigating but at this point haven't identified any suspects, Elder said.

Police don't believe the shooting was random and don't believe there's a threat to the public.
