Minn. woman found dead in southern Calif.

Investigators are asking the public for information about a 32-year-old Minnesota woman who was found dead near railroad tracks in Southern California.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise says reports Thursday that homicide detectives suspect foul play in the death of Jamie Lea Harmer, whose body was discovered Sunday near the tracks in Riverside. The cause of death has not been determined but police say she was not hit by a train.

Harmer was a transient whose last permanent address was in Thief River Falls, Minn. Detectives are trying to determine where she was and what she was doing between late February and Sunday when she was found.

Police say she was arrested twice in San Diego County, for battery on a police officer and for being under the influence of drugs.
