Ga.'s Paine College locked down; shooting reported

Officials say a shooting has been reported at a college in Georgia, prompting the campus to be closed and locked down.

Paine College spokeswoman Tonya Williams says the school is working with the Richmond County sheriff's office to investigate what happened Monday. Sgt. Michael McDaniel tells WJBF-TV that at least one person was shot inside a building on campus, and it's unclear if the shooting is related to a separate shooting Sunday afternoon.

The condition of the person shot Monday was not immediately clear.

Paine College's website says the private school has just over 800 students and is located about 140 miles east of Atlanta.
