Today's Morning Edition music is from about 40 years ago this week.  Running naked through public places, or streaking, has been around for a long time, but in 1973 many media outlets were reporting about a "streaking epidemic" on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas.  That coverage inspired a streaking fad around the country which Ray Stevens immortalized in this novelty song.  Each verse begins with a fake news report from the site of a streaking incident.
