For "Canoe," Justin Lansing and Joe Mailander canoed the Mississippi River for a month and drew inspiration for their songs from that trip. This time, the two spent a month hiking the Appalachian Trail, mostly in Virginia.

Lansing and Mailander, not actually brothers, have known each other since they were 3 in Colorado. They joined The Daily Circuit to play songs from their new album and discuss their hiking adventure.
