Today's music is "Papa Gene's Blues" by The Monkees off their debut album which was released way back in 1966. The Monkees will be playing tonight at the Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater in Apple Valley. Of course, they will be without Davy Jones, who died in 2012. But Mike Nesmith, who has rarely performed with the band since the TV show went off the air, is playing with them on this tour. That means fans will be hearing some songs live for the first time, like this one which Nesmith wrote and sings.
