Bremer Foundation executive director pushed out amid restructuring

The head of the Otto Bremer Foundation has been pushed out in a restructuring of the organization.

In an email to professional colleagues and friends, executive director Randi Ilyse Roth said her position is being eliminated because the foundation's three trustees have become co-CEOs. She said trustees Charlotte Johnson, Brian Lipschultz and Daniel Reardon will directly manage the foundation's staff and operations.

Roth, who has served as executive director for six years, said she will remain with the organization for about three months during the transition period. The St. Paul-based foundation funds economic and social development projects in communities in North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin where Bremer Bank has branches.

According to its most recent annual report, the Otto Bremer Foundation has nearly $800 million in assets and made more than $36 million in grants in 2012. Neither Roth nor Bremer officials would discuss the change.
