Fans gathered at Nomad World Pub in Minneapolis to watch in hope and anguish as the U.S. and Portugal met in a tough game in the World Cup on Sunday, fighting in the end to a draw. The American team would qualify with a win or draw with Germany on Thursday. If they lose, they could still make it on goal differentials vs. Ghana and the Portuguese. Photojournalist William Matsuda documented the emotional highs and lows of the game.
