A 62-year-old Mankato man is in custody after detonating a pipe bomb outside of his home, Mankato police said.
Police arrested the man just after midnight on the 200 block of Chatsworth Drive.
The man detonated a pipe bomb outside his house and had two more in his possession, according to a press release from the Mankato Police Department.
Police also found other handmade explosive devices.
Members of the Bloomington Bomb Squad disposed of the devices.
The man told detectives he made the devices more than a year and a half ago, police said. He is being held in the Blue Earth County jail.
