Twins Perkins, Suzuki named All-Stars

Relief pitcher Glen Perkins and catcher Kurt Suzuki will represent the Minnesota Twins at next week's All-Star Game in their backyard.

Suzuki makes the All-Star Team for the first time. He's hitting .306 and has 18 doubles along with 34 RBI.

Perkins will pitch for the American League team for the second straight year. The former Minnesota Gopher has 20 saves.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire is on the AL coaching staff for the July 15th game at Target Field.
