Police: Minneapolis teen charged with shooting 3
Police have charged a 19-year-old with attempted murder for seriously injuring three women in a north Minneapolis shooting.
The Hennepin County attorney's office says Delonte Ahshone Thomas of Minneapolis has been arrested in connection with the July 9 shooting in which three women were shot 25 times. All three women survived.
Thomas faces three counts of attempted second-degree murder and three counts of first-degree assault.
Thomas is being held in the Hennepin County jail. Online jail records did not indicate an attorney.
The shooting occurred a day after Minneapolis Police Chief Janee Harteau and Mayor Betsy Hodges visited several neighborhoods hit hard by recent violence.
