Motorcyclist crashes after Minnesota police chase

Authorities are investigating a motorcycle crash following a high-speed chase from St. Paul into Wisconsin.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the chase started Sunday night when a trooper tried to stop the motorcyclist for speeding. The driver raced away on a St. Paul highway and led troopers to the Wisconsin border. Officials said speeds reached 120 mph.

Wisconsin's St. Croix County authorities decided to discontinue the chase after the driver entered their state.

KSTP-TV reports deputies later responded to a motorcycle crash and determined the driver was the one from the chase.

Police hadn't released information about injuries or the driver's identity Sunday night.
