FarmFest, an annual Minnesota agriculture trade show, was also host to the only public appearance between incumbent Senator Al Franken, and his challengers: Republicans Mike McFadden, Jim Abeler, and David Carlson, as well as the Independent Party candidate Kevin Terrell.

While the candidates talked about agriculture-related issues like the labeling of products with GMOs and biofuels, they also touched on more tangential topics like immigration.

Mark Zdechlik, MPR News political reporter, was at FarmFest and joins The Daily Circuit to discuss what to expect at Tuesday's primary election.
