Minnesotans go to the polls for 2014 primary

1 Minneapolis resident James Bordewick displayed an "I voted" sticker on his T-shirt after casting a ballot in Tuesday's primary election at United Methodist Church in Prospect Park. 
2 Lori Knosalla and Ben Gosack voted in Tuesday's primary election at United Methodist Church in Minneapolis' Prospect Park neighborhood. The couple said they wanted to support longtime Democratic Rep. Phyllis Kahn in her bid for re-election. 
3 Nine-month-old Simon Fitch-Roberts of Minneapolis was too young to vote in Tuesday's primary election, but he did leave the United Methodist Church in Prospect Park with an "I Voted" sticker. Simon's parents, Cathy Fitch and Evan Roberts, were among the first 25 voters at their polling place. 
4 A contractor with Twin City Security stood outside the polling place at Christensen Center at Augsburg College in Ward 2, Precinct 7 in Minneapolis. It is one of four with added staff in the wake of the hotly contested DFL nomination in House District 60B this year. 
5 Twenty-five voters cast ballots during the first 40 minutes of polls opening for Tuesday's primary election in Minneapolis' Prospect Park neighborhood. 
6 Wayne Johnson, with Twin City Security, worked greeting primary voters at the Brian Coyle Center. He pointed out the buffer area around the polling place where campaign activity is restricted.
