In this episode, we explore compassion in health care. Host Tom Crann and Dr. Jon Hallberg discuss a buzzed-about medical essay published by the Washington Post by a physician exploring how a 600-pound patient tested his compassion, as well as that of the other doctors and nurses caring for him.

The essay has raised tough questions about compassion and empathy in a clinic or hospital, and prompted some soul searching in the health care community.
