Lizzo and Caroline Smith team up on a summer jam

Today's Morning Edition music is from the song "Let 'Em Say" which is a new release featuring two popular Minneapolis-based singers.
Lizzo and Caroline Smith are good friends who will be performing together at First Avenue in September. The song is a fundraiser for the Women's Foundation of Minnesota.
Lizzo says this about the collaboration:
"We both have two completely different struggles but the overall theme of independence is the same.
We're liberating ourselves as women in this industry and as citizens in this industry and as human beings, and we're so excited to be able to share that with everybody."
