2 killed in separate incidents in Minneapolis

Minneapolis police are investigating two homicides on the city's south side.

The first killing occurred just before midnight. Police responded to a report of a shooting on the 2700 block of Blaisdell Avenue South. There they found an adult male with a gunshot wound. He later died at the Hennepin County Medical Center.

At 2.20 am police responded to a report of a struggle near 4th Avenue S. and Franklin Avenue E. where they found a female stabbing victim. Her assailant fled the scene. She also died at HCMC. Neither of the victim's identities have been released by the Medical examiner.
