Live at the State Fair: Talking birds with the Raptor Center

Snowy owl released
Julia Ponder releases a snowy owl this past winter.
The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota

The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota rehabilitates more than 700 sick and injured birds each year. It's also an educational facility, training veterinary students from around the world in raptor medicine and conservation.

Tom Weber will join Julia Ponder, executive director of the Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota -- as well as some real, live birds -- at the State Fair.
