Attack in Fridley leaves 2 in critical condition

Fridley police are asking anyone who may have witnessed an attack on two young men in that city early Saturday morning to contact the department or the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.
The 21-year-old victims are currently in critical condition at Hennepin County Medical Center. One victim was able to give authorities some limited information about the attack. He told police that he and his friend met two women at "Two Stooges" bar.
When the bar closed, the men agreed to give the women a ride to University Avenue and Mississippi Street in Fridley. The victim said when they arrived at that location they were assaulted by two men who then fled the scene.
Police say the victims have life-threatening injuries. A motive for the attack is unknown.
