Garrison Keillor, the host of "A Prairie Home Companion," has cancelled his Sept. 27 show at the Fitzgerald Theater because of a medical procedure.

In a release announcing the cancellation, Keillor said he now knows "more about the prostate" than he ever wanted to and has found a good surgeon.

"By October I will be thinking more about truth and beauty and less about plumbing," he said.

Ticketholders for the show should contact the Fitzgerald Theater box office by email about refunds.

Keillor and the cast of the show, distributed worldwide by American Public Media, began their 40th season this summer.

In November, they will go on the road for shows in Minneapolis, Duluth and Rochester.
