Minneapolis schools superintendent on young student suspension ban

Minneapolis Public Schools will no longer suspend its youngest students for non-violent behavioral issues, the district announced Friday.

The change goes into effect immediately and impacts students in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade.

Bernadeia Johnson, superintendent of the district, joins The Daily Circuit to talk about the change.
