Op-ed: How NFL's Goodell is like Nixon

Many commentators have heaped scorn on NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, but it took Dave Zirin to find the link to Watergate. The Nation writer observes that Goodell, like Richard Nixon before him, "can see all of his power and privilege crashing down over a tape."

Not that he spares the media. Of Janay Rice, he writes: "No one cares that she's basically now being used as a soapbox with otherwise apolitical NFL commentators using her prone body to get on their high horse and safely blast the league."

We talk to Zirin about the NFL and its string of very bad days.
