Matt Cassel out against Saints with toe injury
The Minnesota Vikings say starting quarterback Matt Cassel has an injured toe that will sideline him for the rest of their game against the New Orleans Saints.
Cassel left Sunday's game after a 5-yard scramble to set up a field goal early in the second quarter.
When the Vikings' offense retook the field, rookie Teddy Bridgewater was under center. He led a 10-play, 51-yard drive for another field goal that made it 13-6.
Cassel was 5 of 10 for 53 yards before leaving.

In the third quarter, Saints starting center Jonathan Goodwin left the game with an unspecified left leg injury.
Goodwin was helped off the field and the Saints announced that his return was questionable. Second-year pro Tim Lelito replaced Goodwin and his first snap of the game sailed past Drew Brees, who was in shotgun formation.
Brees recovered the loose ball for a loss of 18 on third down, forcing a punt.
Goodwin, in his 13th year in the NFL, returned for his second stint in New Orleans this season after three years with San Francisco.
