Minneapolis youth work toward restorative justice

City leaders from Minneapolis hosted a Youth Summit on Restorative Justice today. Restorative justice works toward a rehabilitative rather than punitive approach to crime and punishment.

Minneapolis Police Chief Janeé Harteau as well as members of the city's Park and Recreation Board, City Council and School Board participated in the event.

City Council member Andrew Johnson hosted the event and joined MPR News' Tom Crann to discuss what they were hoping to accomplish.
