The man had a possible broken leg, Kerr said. He was taken by ambulance to Regions Hospital.

The train driver was relieved and will undergo drug and alcohol tests, which is standard procedure Kerr said.

The accident happened around 6:30 p.m., shutting down train service for about an hour between Capitol/Rice Street and Hamline Avenue stations.
