3 charged with kidnapping after Sauk Centre stop

A man and two women are charged with kidnapping after a traffic stop in Sauk Centre.

The St. Cloud Times reports the victim was in the back seat when a police officer stopped the vehicle early Friday because it had a taillight out. He told police he'd been beaten with a baseball bat and kidnapped because the suspects thought he was a snitch. He also told police they were taking him to Claremont to kill him.

The victim said he'd gone to one female suspect's apartment to buy marijuana. He said he was forced to strip while she and the male suspect looked for a recording device and beat him.

The complaint says the other female suspect admitted using amphetamine and told a story consistent with the victim's report.
