Medicine Lake kayaking death ruled accidental

The St. Louis Park man who went kayaking on Medicine Lake in Plymouth early Saturday died of an apparent drowning. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says the death also appears accidental.

Paul Myklebust, 31, was last seen around 2 a.m. Saturday kayaking with a friend on the lake. The kayak flipped and the friend made it to shore. Myklebust did not.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's office says divers found Myklebust's body Monday afternoon about 100 feet from shore in 10 feet of water.
